Gelidonya Lighthouse, named after Caledonia, which means swallow in Lycian, is the highest lighthouse on the Turkish coast with a height of 227 metres. The lighthouse, lighthouse and guard building of the lighthouse, which watches the endless blue waters of the Mediterranean from a lush green hill, has been taken under protection by the General Directorate of Coastal Safety and Ship Rescue Enterprises as a national heritage. In the lighthouse, which has no electricity because it was built on steep and steep rocks, gas oil was used in the first years, then LPG cylinders were used, and in 2017, a system that provides electricity with solar energy was installed.
