Pirate Cove, located in Kumluca district, is a small and clean bay west of Gelidonya Lighthouse, harbouring the ruins of the ancient city of Melanippe. It is known as 'Pirate Cove' because it was captured by the pirate king Zeniketes in ancient times. The bay, which has been used as a shelter in history because it is not affected by storms and is waveless and calm, is also very popular with camping enthusiasts with its sheltered nature.
